Most of the pictures were taken on 35mm slide film. They have been scanned at 1200 dpi into computer files. For display on this web page the original files have been resized, to minimize disk storage and download time, and still give max resolution that can be seen on a computer screen. To print pictures from the site, just make the photo full size, then right click, and click "Save Picture As" to save it to your computer, Then you can print it on your color printer.

To print copies on photo paper you may want to obtain the higher resolution files. JPEG files (approximately 1 megabyte in size) are available from either Joe Reeves or Marlin Collier. The original 1200 dpi scan was stored on the computer as TIFF files (approximately 5 to 6 megabytes in size). TIFF files contain all detail and color of the original scan but are very large in size. JPEG is a file compression method. While the larger JPEG files are fine for photos up to 8X10 they do lose some resolution when they are created from the TIFF files.
